Dear friends,

The time has finally come. We are delighted to present the first programme of the new Himmelsfels Academy to you. The Academy of the Himmelsfels Foundation aims to strengthen international congregations and support domestic churches in opening up interculturally.

Until the end of 2026, we want to organise 100 seminars, mostly over two or three days. You can already register for some of the seminars here, and more will be added in the coming weeks and months. You can also develop seminars with us and contribute to the programme. If you have any ideas, please write to us at akademie@himmelsfels.de.

As a network of international communities (whether as communities of a region, a group of origin or language, as a 2nd generation network, etc.), we invite you to organise your conference at our centre. We will cover the meeting expenses for the network gathering and support you with experts in the programme.

The EU's AMIF fund makes it possible for us to offer most seminars free of charge or at very favourable prices. The training courses usually take place in Spangenberg, 40 kilometres south-east of Kassel. We use a large and lovingly renovated half-timbered house from the 16th century, the "Burgsitz", as the seminar location.

We will celebrate the opening of the academy and of the Himmelsfels Kolleg on August, 25th 2024. More information below!

For me, the Himmelsfels Academy is a place of encounter with people from different cultures and communities. By listening to each other and to God together, we look for good and new ways of working together.

For me, the Himmelsfels Academy is a place where the principle of the incomparability of the individuum and the preservation of his dignity, regardless of his origin, skin colour and language, is put into practice through workshops and seminars.
